Buildings & Program

The Student Housing West project will provide 3,000 new, efficiently designed, high-density housing beds for upper division students, graduate students, and students with families in two distinct sites on the UC Santa Cruz campus.

Student Housing West will serve three different student groups at the University:

Undergraduate upper division students – Approximately 2700 beds

Graduate students –  Approximately 220 beds

Students with Families – Approximately 140 units

All of the housing communities include associated social and amenity spaces, parking, and office/administration space. The Heller site development will also include a Student “hub” comprised of dining and market space as well as fitness and wellness space and a student commons area with multipurpose space and a variety of study and contemplative spaces. Updated Virtual Tour Coming Soon!

In addition to the above, a new Early Education Services Center (EEC) to accommodate up to 140 children of students, faculty, and staff will be located adjacent to the housing units for student families.
